01
Morpho by Tomorrowland pieces are designed for indoor spaces unless otherwise stated. Maintain a room humidity level between 40% and 60% for optimal preservation.
02
To prevent subtle shifts in colour over time, avoid direct sunlight and occasionally reposition objects placed on the surface.
03
Keep furniture away from heating sources or air-conditioning units to protect it from extreme conditions.
04
Wipe spills immediately to prevent staining.
05
When cleaning wooden surfaces, always follow the direction of the grain for the best results.
06
Use placemats and coasters to protect surfaces from heat, cold, and moisture.
07
Lift furniture when moving rather than dragging it to prevent damage.
08
Ensure water-based floor cleaners do not come into contact with wooden legs or bases, as moisture can leave lasting marks. Nylon glides protect the base of each piece—avoid alcohol-based cleaners on floors they touch.
regular care
The Morpho by Tomorrowland Outdoor collection is designed to adapt gracefully to various environmental conditions. Carefully selected materials ensure durability, elegance, and minimal maintenance. To preserve the beauty of your outdoor pieces, here are some simple care guidelines:
Prevent marks:
Any spills should be wiped away immediately with a damp cloth and natural soap—avoid soaps with detergents or chemicals.
Regular cleaning:
Dust hard surfaces regularly with a dry cloth or soft brush. For deeper cleaning, use natural soap and warm water. Always follow the wood grain when cleaning.
Move carefully:
Always lift furniture when moving it; do not drag it. Furniture comes equipped with glides to protect your floors and prevent moisture absorption.
By following these guidelines, your Morpho by Tomorrowland outdoor furniture will maintain both functionality and beauty for years to come.
natural teak
Teak is naturally dense and well-suited for outdoor use. As it adapts to its environment, some cracking and movement may occur, which is perfectly normal.
Preventive treatment:
Before using natural teak furniture, rinse it thoroughly with a garden hose—avoid using a pressure washer. To protect against stains and slow the natural grey patina process, consider using the Ethnicraft Outdoor Teak Protector. Allow the teak to dry completely before applying and follow the product's instructions. Allow 24 hours of drying before exposing the furniture to moisture.
Regular care:
Teak’s natural oils may be released after rain showers, potentially leaving marks on new teak furniture. While no additional treatment is necessary, you may opt for a specialised teak cleaner, such as Ethnicraft Outdoor Teak Cleaner, to remove dirt build-up. Clean regularly using natural soap and warm water. Always wipe along the wood grain. For stubborn stains or minor scratches, gently use extra-fine sandpaper, sanding in the direction of the grain.
varnished teak black
Our varnished black teak collection is brushed and coated with a colour treatment specifically developed to endure outdoor conditions, including high and low temperatures, UV exposure, and humidity.
Care:
Just like with natural teak, wipe up spills immediately with a damp cloth and natural soap. Avoid harsh soaps with acids, chemicals, or detergents. For regular cleaning, use a dry cloth or soft brush to remove dust and leaves—never rub. For more thorough cleaning, natural soap and warm water will suffice. For best results, use Ethnicraft Teak Cleaner, following the product’s instructions. Always use a soft cloth when cleaning, instead of the green pads provided.
outdoor fabrics,
cord & upholstery
The fabrics and woven cord in the Morpho by Tomorrowland Outdoor collection are UV-resistant, all-weather durable, and hypoallergenic—easy to maintain and long-lasting.
Cleaning:
Clean fabrics with clear water and natural soap. Ethnicraft also offers an Indoor-Outdoor Textile Cleaner & Protector, specially formulated to help preserve the appearance and longevity of the upholstery, cord, and textiles. Avoid using pressure washers on fabric surfaces.
Stains and oil marks:
The natural surface oil in teak can cause stains on cushions, which is a normal, recurring process. To clean stains, use a damp white cloth with natural soap and clear water to minimize discolouration. Removable covers can be machine-washed at 30°C (86°F). Always follow the care instructions on the label.
Cord care:
For woven cord, lightly brush or gently vacuum regularly to remove dust. For spot cleaning, dampen the area with a mild soap solution and blot gently with a soft cloth—work from the outside of the stain inwards. For oil-based stains, use an acetone solution before rinsing with clear water. Ensure excess moisture is removed, then allow the cord to air dry in the shade.
Cushion care:
Cushions feature quick-dry foam, designed to dry quickly after exposure to moisture or humidity. This foam can penetrate even a water-repellent outer shell over time. All sit cushions include an anti-slip fabric on the bottom to keep them in place.
metal detailing
Our powder-coated stainless steel is low-maintenance and resistant to the elements, making it an ideal choice for outdoor use.
Care:
Wipe metal surfaces dry to avoid streaks or limescale. Do not allow water to pool in areas like joints. Avoid using steel wool, harsh brushes, or pressure washers on metal surfaces. Do not use mineral acids, bleach, or chlorine-based cleaners. Always wipe away bird droppings immediately to prevent corrosion or marks due to their acidity.
rain covers
To keep Morpho by Tomorrowland outdoor furniture in optimal condition, use a rain cover during periods of bad weather or when the furniture is not in use. Custom-made to fit Morpho by Tomorrowland collections, the covers are UV protective and provide excellent protection against water, wind, and frost. Their fastenings are designed to hold securely, even in strong winds.
Care:
Ensure furniture is clean and dry before applying the cover. Remove cushions and store them indoors for long periods of non-use. Regularly remove the cover to allow the furniture to breathe. Covers are machine washable up to 30°C (86°F). Always air dry and ensure the cover is fully dry before storing.
